Fault counts for F5, F6, F7, F8:
If fault code F5, F6, F7, or F8 is displayed, the faults
refer to failure of one of the sensors: T3a (F5), T3b
(F6), T4 (F7) or T5 (F8). If one of these failure codes
reach a 10 count and power is turned off, that fault
count will only decrement by 1 when power is
re-applied if the fault code is not cleared using the
diagnostic mode.
If the faulty sensor was replaced, the control will
check the value of that sensor every 10 minutes. If
the sensor value is correct after 10 minutes, it will
decease the fault count by 1.
When any fault count is displayed, the beeper will
sound every 40 seconds. To silence the beeper,
press the up or down arrow button.
The control monitors the following activities for
faults:
• T4 rises at least 20°F during rst 30 minutes
of compressor run
• T4 is greater than 120°F after rst 30
minutes of compressor run
• T3a is greater than 20°F after rst 30
minutes of compressor run
• Difference between T3a and T3b is greater
than 5°F after 30 minutes
• T4 temperature never exceeds 240°F while
compressor is operating
• Fan operating
• Compressor draws more than 1.5 amps
• Upper element draws more than 10 amps
• Lower element draws more than 10 amps
• Filter is clean
• T3a, T3b, T4 and T5 sensors are within limits
• Stuck button on the main control board
To view faults and counters, while in the service
