      Several factors can prevent your GE Air Conditioner from starting: * The power cord might not be properly plugged in. Ensure it's connected to a grounded 3-prong outlet. * The power supply cord might have tripped. Press the RESET button on the cord. * The Power button might not have been pressed. Press the Power button on the Control Panel or Remote Control. * There might be no power to the electrical outlet. Test the outlet with a working lamp. * A household fuse might have blown, or a circuit breaker tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. * The control might be programmed for a Time Delay. Cancel the Time Delay. * The batteries in the remote control might be dead. Replace the batteries. * The internal water tank might be full. Empty the water tank.

      If your GE Air Conditioner is running but the room isn't cooling, consider these possibilities: * The room temperature may be too high. Ensure the air conditioner has an adequate BTU rating for the room size. * The control may be incorrectly set to Fan or Dehum mode. Set the Mode to Cool and the Fan Speed to High. * The temperature setting may be too high. Lower the set temperature. * The air conditioner may be installed incorrectly. Check the exhaust hose and window panel for proper installation. * Doors and windows may be open. Close them to prevent cooled air from escaping.
