What does it mean when "F— and a number or letter" flash in the display of my GE JT3500SFSS Oven?
    • J
      Jerry HumphreySep 9, 2025
When "F— and a number or letter" flash in the display of your GE oven, it indicates a function error code. Press the Cancel/Off pad and allow the oven to cool for one hour, then put the oven back into operation. If the function code repeats, disconnect all power to the oven for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect power. If the function error code repeats, call for service.

Why does my GE JT3500SFSS Oven door glass appear to be "tinted" or have a "rainbow" color?
    • S
      Sarah GarciaSep 22, 2025
The "tinted" or "rainbow" color appearance of your GE oven door glass is normal. The inner oven glass is coated with a heat barrier to reflect the heat back into the oven to prevent heat loss and keep the outer door cool while baking. Under certain light or angles, you may see this tint or rainbow color.

Why does my new GE Oven cook differently than my old one?
    • E
      Erin KingSep 8, 2025
Your new GE oven may cook differently because it has a different cooking system than your old oven. For the first few uses, follow your recipe times and temperatures carefully. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the temperature yourself to meet your specific cooking preference.

Why does my GE Oven display go blank?
    • J
      Jeffrey HughesSep 4, 2025
A blank display on your GE oven could indicate a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker, so replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. Alternatively, the clock might be turned off, or the oven could be in Sabbath Mode.
