Split Range Operation - 4700P/4800P
Split ranging permits the operation of two valves in sequence from one control instrument signal.
The total stroking of each valve occurs with one half the signal (i.e., 3-9 psig or 9-15 psig). The
following table shows, for example, the plug positions of two valves (both air to close action, open
on air failure operating in split range) with a 3-15 psig instrument signal.
