Why does the control panel turn off when setting controls on my GE Dishwasher?
    • R
      romeromatthewSep 23, 2025
If the control panel lights go off while setting controls, it means too much time has passed between touching the selected buttons. Each pad must be touched within 30 seconds of the others. To relight the panel, touch any pad again or open the door and unlock it (for top control models).

What to do if my GE Refrigerator is not working?
    • B
      Breanna SharpAug 25, 2025
If your GE Refrigerator isn't working, first ensure it's properly plugged into the outlet. Check the fuse or circuit breaker and replace or reset if necessary. If the refrigerator is in defrost cycle, wait about 30 minutes for it to end. Also, make sure the temperature controls are not set to OFF. Finally, check if the refrigerator is in showroom mode; if so, unplug it and plug it back in.

What to do if my GE Refrigerator ice dispenser doesn't work?
    • B
      Brian ContrerasAug 26, 2025
If the ice dispenser on your GE Refrigerator isn't working, first check if the ice maker is turned on and the water supply is connected. Remove any ice cubes frozen to the ice maker feeler arm. Clear any items blocking the ice chute inside the top door bin of the freezer. Break up any irregular ice clumps with fingertip pressure and discard the remaining clumps. If the freezer is too warm, adjust the freezer control to a colder setting, one position at a time, until clumps do not form. Finally, ensure the dispenser is not LOCKED by pressing and holding the LOCK CONTROLS pad for 3 seconds.

Why does my GE Profile Refrigerator water dispenser not work?
    • K
      Kristen BrownAug 27, 2025
Your GE Refrigerator water dispenser may not be working because the water supply line is turned off or not connected. Also, the water filter might be clogged, so replace the filter cartridge or remove the filter and install a plug. Air may be trapped in the water system; press the dispenser arm for at least two minutes to resolve this. Ensure the dispenser is not LOCKED by pressing and holding the LOCK CONTROLS pad for 3 seconds.

What to do if GE Dishwasher control panel works but it doesn't fill with water?
    • T
      tpatrickSep 2, 2025
If the control panel responds but the dishwasher doesn't fill with water, first ensure the door is completely closed. Check that the water valve (usually located under the sink) is turned on. Also, the flood float may be stuck; remove the Ultra-Fine filter and lightly tap the piece under it that looks like a salt shaker, then replace the filter.
