sui/able tor microw, wing.
Most glass casseroles,
cooking dishes, measuring
cups, custard cups, pottery
or china dinnerware which
does not have me/allic trim
or glaze with a me/allic
sheen can be used. Some
cookware is labeled "suitable
tot microwm'ing."
How to test for a microwave-
safe dish,
o If you are not sure if
a dish is microwm'e-sate,
use this lest: Place in the
oven both tile dish you
are/esting and a glass
measuring cup filled with
] cup of water--set the
measuring cup either
in or next/o tile dish.
Microwave 1 minute at
high. If the dish heats,
it should not be used
%r microw, Mng.
If the dish remains cool
and only the wa/er in tile
cup heals, then the dish
is microw, we-saJc.
If you use a meat
thermome/er while
cooking, make sure
it is saie tbr use in
n/icI't)%Vilve ovens.
o Do not use recycled paper
products. Recycled paper
/owels, napkins and waxed
paper can contain metal
flecks which m_W cause
arcing or ignite. Paper
products con/aining nylon
or nflon filaments should
be avoided, as they m_W

o Paper/owels, waxed paper
and plastic wrap can be
used/o cover dishes in
order/o re/ain moisture
and prevent spat/ering. Be
sure/o vent plastic wrap so
Ste}l<l/ c}ln escape.
* Cookware m_W become hot

handle the cookware.

I)ouches and tightly closed
plastic bags should be slit,
pierced or vented as

If they are not, plastic
could burst during or
