RV Volume Acquisition
1. Select 3V probe, press 4D
Tip: Bi-plane can be used to line up the
correct probe position prior to entering
4D mode
2. Center the RV in the sector
Tip: Larger RV sizes may require moving
the probe laterally and tilting anteriorly
towards the RVOT and/or up an inter-
costal space. Smaller RV’s may require
moving the probe more medially

3. Use the reference images to
assure that:
– A clear 4Ch view of the RV is seen
on the left top panel
– In the orthogonal view in the left
lower panel is the RV free wall
and the RVOT
