Why is my Geko Heater only blowing air and not heating?
    • E
      Ernest MorrowAug 12, 2025
If your Geko Heater isn't heating up and only the fan is running, it could be due to several reasons. First, the thermostat might have tripped; try turning the thermostat knob until you hear a click, which indicates it's switching on. If there's no click and the thermostat appears undamaged, the heater should automatically turn on once it cools down. Another possibility is that the cut-off protection has tripped. To resolve this, turn off the heater, inspect the air inlet and outlet for any blockages, unplug the power cord, and allow at least 10 minutes for the protection to reset. Finally, ensure the switch is set to heating mode and not just the fan position.

If your Geko Heater isn't working after plugging it in and turning it on, the issue might be with the electrical connection. First, check that the plug is securely connected to the socket. If the connection seems loose or unsuitable, try adjusting it. If the plug is correctly connected, verify that the socket has electricity by plugging the cord into a working outlet.

If you notice reduced airflow from your Geko Heater, it could be due to a dirty air duct. Try unblocking the air duct to improve airflow. Alternatively, a damaged engine could be the cause, in which case the device should be repaired by a qualified service technician.
