PASSIVE INFRARED 7709
The 7709 sensor is a detector with passive infrared equipped with a double
pyroelectric element sensor.
Positioning the sensor in a corner it can be protect an area of 10 x 10 meter.
Position the sensor in the area to be protected and the sensor fiel, take into
consideration that infrared sensors are more sensible to the transversal
movement than to the frontal one.
In order to avoid false alarming, do not install in:
Areas of intense heat.
Strong air current is directed on the sensor.
Where there may be vibrations of the wall.

FUNCTIONING
JUMPER POSITIONING AND FUNCTIONING TEST
In order to avoid a fast battery discharge, the sensor inhibits itself for 4 seconds
after an alarm signal.
The sensor will start working normally when the alarm cause has finished;
however not before than 4 minutes.
To couple the sensor with the unit, follow indications reported below
Open the sensor cover by pressing the upper and bottom side.
Connect the battery to the corresponding connector.
Plan the alarm unit for self-learning.
Insert the “TX test” jumper in the corresponding pin.
Optical and acoustic signals depend on the alarm it has been self-learned.
Remove the jumper inserted in ”TX test” correponding pin.
Close the sensor cover.
It is possible to verify sensor perfect working order at the end of installation and
programmation stage.
Depending on the test, insert jumper like described below.

Set the jumper to “TX TEST” modality in order to have the
TX transmission test. This configuration allows the sensor to
transmit continuously the alarm signal.
Set the jumper in the normal “WORKING MODALITY”.
When the sensor detects the movement sends the signal to
the unit.
Adjust the sensor taking into considration the area to be protect and make
