If your Generac Portable Products Portable Generator's engine won't start or runs rough, there are several potential causes: * The fuel shut-off may be OFF - turn it ON. * The air cleaner might be dirty - clean or replace it. * The generator may be out of gasoline - fill the fuel tank. * The gasoline may be stale - drain the tank and refill with fresh fuel. * The spark plug wire may not be connected - connect it to the spark plug. * The spark plug may be bad - replace it. * There may be water in the gasoline - drain the tank and refill with fresh fuel. * The engine may be over-choking - put the choke knob to the No Choke position. * The oil level may be low - fill the crankcase to the proper level.
