— Long press of Voice Recognition button triggers phone projection voice-
recognition by Siri or Google Assistant.
— Short press of Voice Recognition button triggers built-in Genesis voice
recognition
Long-Press vs. Short-Press Voice Recognition
Follow these simple instructions to toggle between your vehicle’s voice
recognition and Android Auto’s or Apple CarPlay’s voice recognition.
Dynamic Voice Recognition varies by unit. Speak in a normal voice and
minimize background noise for best results. See Owner’s Manual for details
and limitations.
1. To access Genesis in-car voice
recognition, press the Voice
Recognition button on the
steering wheel.
2. To access Apple Carplay or
Android Auto native voice
recognition, press and hold the
Voice Recognition button on the
steering wheel (when already
connected to Apple Carplay or
Android Auto).
