For a local printer, enter the Printer Display Name.
Click the Add button to finalize Local Printer setup.
The Local Printer should now be in the Default Printer drop down menu for selection.
Select the printer and test the printer.
Configure ePlex Settings
Settings > General
Select the language specified by the customer upon installation
If the customer chooses to utilize the manual entry workflow, check the box for Allow for
manual entry of accession ID’s
If the customer chooses to utilize Remote Access (where applicable), check the box to Allow
Remote Access. An icon for BOMGAR should appear at the bottom of the screen.
If a UPS is connected to the ePlex instrument, check the box for UPS connected under
Settings > Reports
The customer has the option to tailor their reports to reflect their laboratory information and
preferences. Refer to customer for input into the Reports tab for the following:
• Lab name and Address
• Printer preferences
• Report and data export preferences
• Customer logo
Input the Site Identifier with the customer QAD account number
Input the Instrument Serial # field with the Base serial number. Press Apply button.
Settings > LIS
If the ePlex instrument will be connected to the customer’s LIS, check Enabled. The ePlex
instrument can then be connected to the customer LIS using QWI4023 ePlex GLI
Configuration and QF3343 ePlex GLI Configuration Form. (Is this where we should update the
GLI in windows?)
Settings > Data
Configure automatic database backup according to customer preference.
Enter a date in the past and select Purge Database to reset the 365-day purge notification.
Settings > Users
Set up an initial Supervisor account’s username and password for the customer to create
other users in the future. Refer to customer for preference.
Note: There must be at least one user created with the MAS on site or the customer will not have access
into the ePlex system.
