10. Reattach the spark plug and spark plug cap.
11. If the generator includes a battery, disconnect and
charge according to Generator Battery.
12. Clean the generator according to Generator
Maintenance.
13. Store the generator in a cool, dry place out of direct
sunlight.
14. ENGINE CARE:
Perform the following steps to protect the cylinder, piston, rings
from corrosion:
a) Remove the spark plug, pour about one table spoon of SAE
10w-30 or 20w -40 motor oil into the spark plug hole and
reinstall the spark plug. Recoil start the engine by turning
over the engine several times (with the ignition off) to coat
the cylinder walls with oil.
b) Pull the recoil starter until you feel compression then stop
pulling this will prevent the cylinder and valves from rusting.
c) Clean the exterior of the generator and apply a rust inhibitor.
d) Always store the generator in a dry, well ventilated place with
a generator cover placed over it.
f) The generator must always remain in a vertical position
when stored, carried or operated.
