A deck height modication will cause changes in the head align values. A complete calibration procedure should be done.

08. Check deck adjustment
Place the carriage at the right side, and mesure the height (with a caliper) between the deck testing points and
the base. Height must be 9,7 - 9,8mm, adjust if needed.
10. Check inverter
Inverter wheels have an expiration date. Not replacing it can increase movement noise and decrease paper
traction.
09. Check top cover wheels and cover closing
Check the top cover wheels tightness, free side to side movement is needed to allow the
correct paper self-alignment.
Cover must close until the holding clip assures the perfect pressure onto the motor bar.
It’s recommended to perform this operation with disassembled front and rear cover.

11. Check electrostatic discharge (ESD) and grounding.
Some ambiental conditions with low relative humidity and paper friction can increase ESD errors. ESD events
can produce plotter resets, timeouts, connection issues. Please verify:
• Machine is connected to earth (Check earthing path -> green-yellow wire).

• Top cover Earth cable connected to Earth Plotter input.
• Easy & Quick or Roll-to-Roll bar discharger is set. (2)
• Front and rear cover discharger screws with grower washer, tight enough to scratch the paint. (3)
• Paper roll tube side caps and bench caps must be conductive (Verify with tester, below1MΩ is correct).
• Carriage board with GND cable connected.
• Conductive plastic parts must be properly placed. (4)
• Tension between earth and ground is <1V. (5)
06. Check the service station (Only with Service Station option activated)
Verify that the wiping and parking caps are clean and correctly inserted.
Ensure that both parts are on rails and to the left side before plotter starts.
To ensure a correct working condition, verify that the deck height is between 9.7 mm - 9.8 mm
07. Check carriage wheels and cleaners
Verify that the wheels are clean (not noisy). Wheel cleaners must be correctly adjusted and
lightly impregnated with oil.
It’s recommended to replace the dirty or dry wheel cleaners.
Its recommended to use the antistatic wrist strap.
