Function Description:

The air fryer operates by circulating hot air around the food, allowing for cooking with little to no oil, resulting in crispy textures similar to deep frying but with less fat. It features multiple cooking modes including:

  • Air Fry Function: For general air frying of various foods.
  • Toast Function: For toasting bread and similar items.
  • Grill Function: For grilling meats and vegetables.
  • Rotisserie Function: Allows for cooking whole chickens or larger cuts of meat by rotating them for even cooking.
  • Defrost Function: For thawing frozen foods.
  • Dehydrate Function: For drying fruits, vegetables, and meats. The device includes preset programs for common foods such as chips, chicken, prawns, cake, steak, fish, and ribs, simplifying the cooking process. It also has a "Keep Warm" function to maintain food temperature after cooking.

  • Preset Cooking Functions: Dedicated icons on the digital control panel allow for quick selection of common food types (Chips, Chicken, Prawns, Cake, Steak, Fish, Ribs), each with default temperature and time settings that can be further adjusted.
  • Basket Design: The air fryer features a basket with a grey front handle for easy removal and insertion. Food is placed inside the basket, typically on a grill plate.
  • Even Cooking: For optimal results, especially with air frying, the manual recommends turning food over during the cooking process. The basket can be pulled out by its handle to facilitate this.
  • Safety during Operation: The appliance beeps 5 times to notify the user when cooking is complete. Users are cautioned to handle the basket carefully and keep it upright when removing it to prevent spills of hot oil or food, which could cause burns. It is explicitly stated not to turn the basket on an angle or upside down to avoid oil leakage onto food or the user. The grey handle is the only part recommended for holding when the air fryer is hot.
  • Installation Recommendations: The air fryer should be placed on a stable, horizontal, flat, and heat-resistant surface, preferably on an insulated heat pad, to prevent damage to the surface from generated heat. Adequate airflow is crucial, with 30cm of space above, 10cm at the back, and 5cm on both sides recommended. The power cord should not run under the air fryer or over hot/sharp surfaces.

Maintenance Features:

Proper cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and safe operation of the air fryer.

  • Cleaning Procedure: Before cleaning, the air fryer must be turned off, unplugged, and allowed to cool completely. The lid can be opened for faster cooling.
  • Cleaning Materials: Non-abrasive liquid cleansers or mild spray solutions applied to a soft, damp cloth or sponge are recommended for cleaning all parts. A dry cloth should not be used on the display screen to avoid scratches.
  • Avoid Abrasives: Abrasive cleaners, metal scouring pads, or metal utensils should not be used on any part of the air fryer or its accessories, as they can scratch or damage surfaces.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: The air fryer contains no user-serviceable parts. Any repairs should be performed by an authorized service representative.
  • Crumb Tray: After each use, the crumb tray should be slid out and crumbs discarded.
  • Moisture Protection: The cord or plug should not be immersed in water, liquids should not be spilled into the oven, and the appliance should not be operated with wet hands to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Damage Protocol: If the appliance, cord, or plug is damaged, or if it's not working properly, users should contact customer support and not attempt repairs themselves.
  • Cleanliness: Maintaining the air fryer in a clean condition helps prevent deterioration and potential hazards, including overheating and fire from accumulated grease and crumbs.
