The device is a shower head system, part of the "AFILO" collection by Gessi, designed for private wellness. It is available in various models (Art. 57301, 57305, 57401, 57409, 57501, 57509, 57601), each with different functions and installation requirements.
Function Description:
The AFILO shower head system provides a multi-functional showering experience, including different spray patterns. Some models offer a single spray pattern, while others combine multiple functions. For example, Art. 57301, 57305, 57401, 57501, and 57601 offer a single spray type. Art. 57305 and 57509 provide two spray types, and Art. 57409 offers three spray types. The system includes an LED control unit that allows for automatic test cycles of RED-GREEN-BLUE-WHITE LEDs upon power-up, followed by a 30-second standby for remote control coupling, ending with a WHITE blinking light. This indicates the system is ready for use.

Usage Features:
- Safety Warnings:
- Never exceed suggested maximum pressure and/or temperature to prevent damage, ruptures, or leaks.
- Working pressure should be between 0.5 bar (7.25 psi) and 5 bar (72 Psi). Use a pressure reducer for higher pressures.
- Maximum test installation pressure is 8 bar (116 psi).
- Avoid major pressure differences between hot and cold water supply.
- Maximum working temperature is 70°C (158°F).
- The product should not be used as a tool or for purposes other than its design.
- Installation and testing must be performed by a professional plumber.
- Refer to the LOCAL PLUMBING CODE for installation.
- Electric cables should never be attached to the product.
- Heavy objects should not be placed or dropped on the product.
- Read the instruction manual carefully before installation.
- Avoid excessive force during installation to prevent damage.
- Do not use aluminum fittings for water connections.
- Pre-Installation Information:
- The device can be used by individuals over 8 years old or those with impaired physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, only if adequately supervised or trained. Children should not play with the device.
- Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
- If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified staff.
- A disconnection should be incorporated into the supply network.
- No components contain mercury or asbestos.
- Thoroughly rinse feeding pipes before mixer installation to prevent debris from damaging washers/ring washers.
- Install filter taps in the main water system or before supply hoses to ensure product longevity.
- Ensure proper crimping of hose sides before assembly.
- Hand-tighten O-ring seal connectors until a mechanical stop; do not use tools.
- Do not embed the hose in the wall.
- Tighten the hose without any twist or tension.
- Prolonged contact with even low aggressive substances can damage the external braid of the hose.
- Leave a straight section twice the external diameter before any bend in the hose.
- Maintain minimum bend radius (DN= nominal internal diameter): DN6 = Ø25mm, DN8 = Ø30mm, DN10 = Ø35mm, DN13 = Ø45mm.
- Tighten connectors with gasket seals (nuts) manually as much as possible, then an additional 1/4 turn with an appropriate wrench.
- The standard equipment for ceiling mounting is sized for concrete and/or hollow prefabricated slabs. For semi-hollow surfaces, use rotary drilling only. For other slab types (e.g., wood), fixing must be determined by a calculation engineer.
- During installation, use protection gloves to avoid fingerprints on stainless steel surfaces.
- Never place the shower head on the surface containing the supply nozzles.
- Electrical Installation:
- Connection to a cut-out switch with an intervention current not greater than 30mA is mandatory.
- A ferrite (Fair-Rite Products Corp - Model: 431164281 or similar) must be positioned on the L+N supply cable (not included) to ensure electromagnetic compatibility.
