  If fluid is escaping from the equipment, it could be due to several reasons: * The equipment or the body is damaged, in which case you should replace the equipment with a new one. * A gasket is damaged, then replace the gasket with a new one and clean gasket seating surfaces. * The connections are not tight, so provide the connections with leakproof seals.

How to increase the discharge capacity of GESTRA Industrial Equipment?

  The discharge capacity might be too low because the equipment is undersized. To resolve this, use equipment with a larger discharge capacity. Also, the differential pressure could be too small, so increase the steam pressure, lower the pressure in the condensate line, and consider using equipment with a larger discharge capacity, or a pump steam trap or a condensate return unit. Insufficient deaeration can also cause this, so connect an additional air vent.

  If the steam pressure and condensate flowrate fluctuate considerably, causing the discharge capacity to be too low, use equipment with a larger discharge capacity. If necessary, use a pump steam trap or a condensate return unit.

  Fluid might be escaping because the body has been damaged by corrosion or erosion. Replace the equipment with a new one and use equipment made of material that is suitable for the application. Alternatively, the equipment has been damaged by waterhammer, so replace the equipment with a new one and take appropriate measures to protect the equipment against waterhammer, such as using non-return valves or a pump steam trap. Another possible cause is that the equipment has been damaged by frost, so replace the equipment with a new one, and when shutting down the installation make sure that all lines and the equipment are completely drained.

  If the pipes do not have a continuous fall in flow direction, this can cause the discharge capacity to be too low. Make sure that the lines run with a continuous fall in flow direction.
