PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS
Loose valve core
Seals failure
1. Pump the fork to 100PSI
2. Spray soapy water onto valve core, air
side Top Cap, Wiper and Bottom Bolt.
3. If bobbles were found around valve or
Top Cap, tighten/replace accordingly.
4. If bobbles were found around Bottom
Bolt or Wiper, perform air spring
service.
Stiff at beginning
travel
DU Bushing lose lubrication
Perform: Lower leg service
Rebound knob broken, or
Damper unit failed.
Replace rebound knob.
Replace and perform damper unit
service.
Movement
between
Stanchions and
Lower Legs.
Low on lubrication
Stanchion wear and tear
DU Bushing worn out.
Lower Leg service.
If symptom persists, inspect
Stanchion both inner/outer, and
Lower Leg DU Bushings.
Oil seepage from assembly
Wiper seal failed
If forks are new, thoroughly clean the
area; otherwise,
Perform Lower Leg service and
replace Wiper seals
Oil seepage from assembly
Top cap under-torqued or
cracked.
Seals failed
If forks are new, thoroughly clean the
area; otherwise,
Check and tighten to proper torque
Replace said parts if symptom
persists.
