PREPARATION
The following service procedures are performed while forks are on the repair stand. It is
NOT recommended to perform services while forks are on the bike
Suspensions are sensitive to contamination, dust and grit.
Prior to any service, should you thoroughly clean forks with soapy water or isopropyl
alcohol.
Once cleaned, inspect for any crack or deformation, especially on bridge and dropout
areas.
To avoid unexpected scratches, remove wrist watch, jewelry and other accessories.
IMPORTANT: SAFTY FIRST!
For your safety, wear safety glasses at all time.
Use of nitrile gloves is encouraged though not compulsory.

• Repair stand
• Shock pump w/ air release button
• Plastic mallet
• Bench vise with soft jaws, options:
• Park tool AV-1, AV-5
• Birzman BM15-AX-VISE
• Needle-nose pliers
• Vernier caliper, ruler or tape rule
• Flathead screwdriver
• Tweezers or a small magnet
• 24mm ground down socket, or UNIOR or
Abbey Bike Tools counterparts, and
compatible wrench
• 24mm hub spanner
• 10mm deep-well socket and compatible
wrench
• 2/3/4/5/6 mm hex keys
• Internal Snap Rng plier
• Motorcycle tyre lever, or 15mm open-
end wrench
• Tweezer
• Pick
• Flashlight
• Optional: Schrader valve core tool
• Isopropyl alcohol
• Clean shop towels
• Special Bottom Bolt tool
• Torque wrenches
• Oil pan or similar container
