Overview

The GIDEON Electric Rat Trap is a sophisticated device designed for effective rodent control, utilizing high-voltage electronic shock to eliminate pests. This user-friendly trap prioritizes safety and efficiency, offering a humane and quick solution to rodent infestations.

Function Description:

The primary function of the GIDEON Electric Rat Trap is to attract and eliminate rats and mice through an electric shock mechanism. Users bait the trap, and once a rodent enters, it is subjected to a high-voltage shock, ensuring a swift and humane kill. The trap incorporates an LED indicator system to provide real-time status updates, including working mode, successful kills, and low battery warnings. A manual shock button is also integrated, allowing users to re-shock a rodent if it is not immediately killed, ensuring 100% efficacy. The device is designed for indoor use, ideally placed along walls where rodents are known to travel.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Input Voltage: DC 5V
  • Rated Power: 5W
  • High Voltage: 8000-10000V
  • Battery Type: Built-in lithium rechargeable battery
  • Capacity: 2000mAh x 2

Usage Features:

  1. Preparation: To begin, the trap must be switched to the "OFF" (O) position, and the top cover slid off. Bait, such as cake, nuts, or peanut butter, should be placed in the designated center area.
  2. Activation: After baiting, align the top cover with the "" position, slide it on, and fasten it. Then, turn the switch to the "ON" (-) position. The working indicator light will flash green for 3 seconds, signaling that the trap is active and ready.
  3. Placement: For optimal results, place the trap along a wall, ensuring the side with the mouse entrance is against the wall. This leverages rodents' natural tendency to travel along edges.
  4. LED Indicator System:

    • Charging Status: During charging, the charging indicator light turns green and will turn off once fully charged.
  5. Manual Shock Button: If a rodent is not immediately killed, press the manual shock button three times quickly. This reactivates the shock mechanism to ensure the rodent is fully eliminated.
  6. Rodent Disposal: To dispose of a caught rodent, switch the trap to the "OFF" (O) position, slide off the top cover, and discard the mouse appropriately.

Maintenance Features:

  1. Cleaning: After disposing of a rodent, the kill chamber is ready for cleaning. Ensure the trap is in the "OFF" position and the top cover is open. Use a soft bristle brush and warm soapy water to scrub the inside of the kill chamber as needed.
  2. Drying: Thoroughly dry both the interior and exterior of the kill chamber before reassembling.
  3. Reassembly: Slide on and close the top cover. Turn the switch to the "ON" (-) position, and the trap is ready for continued use.
  4. Charging: The device features a built-in lithium rechargeable battery. For the first use, it needs to be charged. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours using a 5V / 1A power supply. The charging indicator light will turn green while charging and turn off when fully charged.
