3-7-2 Installing the Memory
3-7-3 MM Population Rule

• The initial DIMMs installed must be installed in the primary CPU (CPU0) memory slots rst.
• When populating DIMMs into a channel, slot numbers having the sufx "0" must be populated rst,
then
followed by slot numbers having the sufx "1".
• A combination of LRDIMMs and RDIMMs is not allowed in the same channel.
• A combination of non-3DS and 3DS LRDIMMs is not allowed in the same channel.

Before installing a memory module, make sure to turn off the computer and unplug the power
cord from the power outlet to prevent damage to the memory module.
Be sure to install DDR4 DIMMs on this motherboard.
Follow these instructions to install the Memory:
1. Insert the DIMM memory module vertically into the DIMM slot, and push it down.
2. Close the plastic clip at both edges of the DIMM slots to lock the DIMM module.
3. Reverse the installation steps when you want to remove the DIMM module.
