Do you have a question about the GLOBBER E-MOTION 6 and is the answer not in the manual?
The Globber E-MOTION 6 is an 80W electric scooter designed for children aged 6 and above, with a maximum weight capacity of 50 kg (110 lbs). It is intended for recreational use and not for extreme sports or public road traffic.
The E-MOTION 6 features a kick-start function. To activate, the user pushes the scooter forward, which turns on the side LED lights and battery gauge, indicating "ON" mode. The scooter automatically turns off after 1 minute of inactivity. It offers two speed modes: Mode 1 with a maximum speed of 6 km/h (3.7 mph) and Mode 2 with a maximum speed of 10 km/h (6.2 mph). The mode can be switched via a button on the rear right side of the deck. In Mode 1, the side LED lights and battery gauge flash. In Mode 2, the side LED lights flash slowly, and the battery gauge remains lit. A "kick scooter mode" allows the scooter to be ridden like a regular scooter even when the battery is depleted.
To start the motor, the user places a foot on the deck, pushes the scooter to reach a speed of 3 km/h, and then presses the accelerator button on top of the T-bar. Once the motor is engaged, reducing speed below 3 km/h does not automatically cut the motor. Speed can be controlled using the rear foot brake (mudguard) and/or the accelerator/throttle button on the right side of the T-bar. Pressing the electronic brake at the rear automatically stops the motor, combining mechanical and electrical braking to reduce stopping distance. Releasing the brake re-engages the motor. To stop completely, the brake must be pressed continuously for 3 seconds until the scooter safely stops. The motor also shuts down automatically if the throttle button is released in an emergency or if the motor is not engaged for more than 60 seconds.
The E-MOTION 6 is equipped with an adjustable T-bar with two height positions to adapt to the child's height. Adjustment is made by pressing a spring-loaded button and moving the T-bar to the desired slot. The quick-release clamp on the T-bar must be loosened before adjustment and tightened afterward to secure it. The scooter is not suitable for children under 3 years old. It must be assembled by a responsible adult, ensuring all parts are correctly fitted and protective equipment (helmet, shoes, elbow, wrist, and knee protectors) is worn. The scooter should be used on flat, clean surfaces, free of gravel and grease, avoiding bumps and drainage grates. It is recommended for use under adult supervision, and only one child should ride at a time. It should not be used on wet days or wet ground.
Before and after each use, all locking mechanisms, the steering system height, nuts, handlebars, and front wheel perpendicularity should be checked. The brake, steering column's quick release system, and wheel axles must be correctly adjusted and undamaged. Wheel wear should be checked, and replacements made when necessary.
For charging, the battery gauge light turns red when the battery level is below 20%, indicating a need for charging. The provided charger (JY15-160-060) is specific for the lithium battery. The charger has an LED indicator: green for fully charged/disconnected, red for low battery/charging. Batteries should only be charged by adults or children aged 8+. The charging port has a waterproof cap that must be removed for charging and replaced afterward. Full charging takes approximately 4 hours. To optimize performance and lifetime, the battery should be fully charged before first use and once a month. The battery compartment and charger should not be covered during charging, ensuring good ventilation. The charging environment must be clean and dry.
The product is subject to wear and tear, and components should be checked regularly for cracks, scratches, or discoloration, which may indicate the end of their service life. The rear wheel, which contains a motorized part, should be checked or replaced by a qualified technician or Globber representative if needed. The lithium battery should be charged when low and at least once a month if not in use. Recommended storage temperature for the battery is 5°C to 30°C. Avoid using or storing the scooter in environments exceeding 40°C to prevent battery malfunction or fire. Bearings should be kept clean and dry, and wheels should be checked for wear and replaced as needed. Product modifications are not allowed, except for maintenance-related changes mentioned in the manual. Nuts, axles, and self-locking fasteners should be checked regularly and tightened or replaced if worn.
At the end of its life, the appliance must be disconnected from the main power supply, and the battery must be removed and disposed of safely at a suitable collection point.
