Switch off the MultiBrush device and
remove the device plug from the
mains power socket [part-no.
000298.0000].
Switch off the Multibrush device and
remove the battery [item no.
000299.0000].
Follow the instructions in the Multi-
Brush device operating manual
when assembling the grass
trimmer.
Your MultiBrush device is installed as
shown, for example. Open the inter-
lock as shown in the illustration.
With the lock applied remove the
guide arm and then the surface brush.
Open the lock as shown in the
illustration and, with the lock actu-
ated, remove the drive arm.
ATTENTION
To prevent motor damage caused
by contamination, assemble the
suction filters (F) supplied as fol-
lows:
Click the suction filter (F) onto the
ventilation slot on the housing as illus-
trated.

Do not reach into the knife blades!
Only assemble with the blade guard
attached (E)!
Slide the blade guard (E) onto the
blade bar (D)!
Open the drive side lock and keep it
pressed. Push the cutters (B) onto the
drive side of the motor/gear unit as far
as it will go, as shown in the illustration.
Release the spring-loaded locking
device. The cutters (I) are locked when
the locking device independently
returns to its original position .
NOTE!
If the drive shaft of the cutters (B) cannot
be inserted into the motor/gear unit, lift
the Multibrush device so that there is NO
contact with the cutters. Change the posi-
tion of the toothed shaft on the Multi-
brush device by briefly switching on the
MultiBrush so that the cutters can then be
fitted easily and without force.
Now push the lock on the guide side
into the open position and keep it
pressed. Place the guiding wheel unit
(C) on the cutter bar and push the unit
further into the motor/gearbox hous-
ing. Release the spring-loaded locking
device. The guiding wheel unit is locked
when the locking device independently
returns to its original position .

ATTENTION
Improper use of the device poses a
risk of damage to property! You
should therefore observe the follow-
ing safety instructions:
When working on the lawn border,
make sure that you do not damage
the edge of the curb (e.g. when tilting
or tipping the device) or that the
edge of the curb damages or bends
the blade bar.
The knife blades are precisely
adjusted for grass cutting. Cutting
branches and bushes will result in a
loss of pre-tension and thus reduce
the quality of the grass cut.
Check the lawn surface to be trimmed
beforehand to avoid damage to
device/objects or injuries to living
beings. Power lines, stones, pieces of
