When to Inspect the Engine Air
Cleaner/Filter
If your vehicle is equipped with a filter change indicator it
will let you know when the filter needs to be replaced.
When the change indicator turns black or is in the
red/orange change zone, change the filter and reset the
indicator. Vehicles without a change indicator inspect the
air cleaner/filter every 15,000 miles (25 000 km) and
replace the filter every 30,000 miles (50 000 km). If you
are driving in dusty/dirty conditions, inspect the filter or
change indicator at each engine oil change.
