What to do if my GMC Air Compressor has insufficient pressure?
    • Z
      Zoe CoxJul 29, 2025
If your GMC Air Compressor has insufficient pressure or decreased outlet capacity, several factors could be the cause. Ensure the drain cock is closed; if open, switch off the unit immediately and close it. Inspect all air fittings for tightness and leaks, reconnecting quick-release fittings if necessary or replacing defective ones. For male or female fittings leaking around the thread, tighten with a spanner or reapply Teflon tape after examining the fitting's condition. Also, examine the air hose for any holes or tears and replace it if defective. A dirty air filter cartridge can also cause this issue, so clean or replace it.

      Barbara CardenasAug 3, 2025
If your GMC Air Compressor motor isn't running, is running too slow, or is becoming excessively hot, check the power supply first. Ensure the compressor is plugged directly into a 240V household power point and not an extension cord or power board. Do not use an extension cord with your air compressor, as a power fault or low supply voltage could be the cause.
