You have chosen a GNS product characterised by high-qua-
lity and reliability. All of our products are tested intensively
before leaving the factory. Please read the following informa
tion carefully to ensure problem-free operation and optimal
functionality.
The GNS 5870 MFI is a GPS receiver with Bluetooth techno
logy and a highly sensitive 32-channel GPS chip. With the
GNS 5870 MFI for the first time a highly sensitive Bluetooth
Hybrid-GPS (HGPS) receiver is available, which supplies both
Apple iPod touch 2G, iPod touch 3G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS,
(starting with iPhone OS 3.0.1), iPad, and other handhelds
(PDAs, Notebooks) with accurate position informations.
The GNS 5870 MFI enables the utilisation of the following:
a) Positioning signals from the worldwide freely available
GPS navigation system.
b) Transfer of these informations over wireless Bluetooth
communication.
Safety notices
· Never manipulate or adjust your GPS Navigation System
while driving.
· Safeguard the GNS 5870 MFI from moisture; observe
the limits on operating and storage temperatures.
· This device contains a Li-Ion battery and should only be
operated at temperatures between 0° and 50° C. Do not
expose the GNS 5870 MFI to direct sunlight or heat.
· Do not open or modify. Failure to comply will result in the
guarantee and warranty becoming void. There are no
components inside that can be serviced by the user.
· Only connect the GNS 5870 MFI to the connector types
described in these instructions.
· Be sure to respect the laws of the country you are in with
respect to operation of devices whilst driving.
