· Do not operate the GNS 5870 MFI with a damaged cord
or if the unit has been dropped or damaged.
· Do not bend the cable forcibly or place a heavy object
on it. This will damage the cord and may cause fire or
electrical shock.
· Ensure that your GNS 5870 MFI is firmly fixed in your car
to avoid damage.

Operating buttons and LEDs
The GNS 5870 MFI has an on/off switch
with STT SmartTouchTechnology:
To switch on your GNS 5870 MFI,
move your finger from top to bottom
over the LEDs, and from bottom to
top to switch it off.
Charging
The GNS 5870 MFI is equipped with a Li-Ion rechargeable
battery. Operating times are in excess of 10 hours. For char
ging (charging time approx. 3.5 hours) connect the charging
cable as supplied to the cigarette-lighter charger device and
the GNS 5870 MFI. The red indicator light blinks to indicate
that the device is charging. You can also use the loading
cable to charge the GNS 5870 MFI at PC USB connectors.
