  If the burner on your Gold Uniflame Grill won't light using the ignitor, several issues could be the cause. The wires or electrode might be covered in cooking residue; if so, clean them with rubbing alcohol. Alternatively, the electrode and burners may be wet, in which case you should wipe them dry with a cloth. Other potential causes include a cracked or broken electrode (replace it), a loose or disconnected wire (reconnect or replace the electrode/wire assembly), a shorting wire (replace the ignitor wire/electrode assembly), or a bad ignitor (replace the ignitor).

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Gold Uniflame GBC873W-C?

  If the flame on your Gold Uniflame Grill is yellow or orange, it could be due to several reasons. If it's a new burner, it might have residual manufacturing oils; try burning the grill for 15 minutes with the lid closed. Another cause could be spider webs or insect nests in the venturi, so cleaning the venturi is recommended. Food residue, grease, or seasoning salt on the burner can also cause this issue, so clean the burner thoroughly. Lastly, check the alignment of the valve to the burner venturi to ensure it's properly engaged.
