1 Safety instructions
The user manual is part of the product and contains important information for correct use.
• Read the user manual completely and carefully before use.
The user manual must be available for uncertainties and passing the product.
• Keep this user manual.
• Do not open the housing.
• Do not modify product and accessories.
• Do not short-circuit connectors and circuits.
• Pay attention to the maximum output currents of the product.
• Do not insert any objects into ventilation slots or connection sockets.
• Never leave the device unattended during operation.
Do not operate a device if it is not in working order. In such cases, it must be secured against unin-
tentional further use.
• Use product, product parts and accessories only in perfect condition.
• Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct sunlight, microwaves, vibrations and
mechanical pressure.
• In case of questions, defects, mechanical damage, trouble and other problems, non-recoverable
by the documentation, contact your dealer or producer.
• Do not repair defective products yourself, but contact the dealer or the manufacturer.
• Do not rotate, bend or mechanically strain otherwise in inserted state.

• Secure packaging, small parts and insulation against accidental use.
• Secure the product against accidental use.
The vehicle's controls must not be affected by the installation and use of the product.
• Install the product and connected devices so that they do not obstruct or distract when driving.
• Secure connected devices against being ung around.
• Route the cables safely.

• Do NOT hook up devices connected to the product to the vehicle via other interfaces at the same
time.
2 Description and function
2.1 Product
The product is a plug-in power supply unit for charging and operating e.g. a notebook, laptop or net-
book in a car or truck via a cigarette lighter socket. It supplies stabilised direct current (2 A) and the
output voltage (7 levels, 1.5 V- 12.0 V) can be adjusted via an adjusting wheel using the enclosed ad-
justing tool. The scope of delivery includes 6 adapter plugs.

3 Intended use
We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter "Description and
Function" or in the "Safety Instructions". Use the product only in dry interior rooms. Not
attending to these regulations and safety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries,
and damages to persons and property.
4 Preparation
1. Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.
2. Compare the specifications of all used devices and ensure compatibility.
5 Connection and operation
NOTICE! Material damage due to incorrect output voltage or polarity
If the output voltage is too high or the polarity is incorrect, your connected device may be severely da-
maged. Information on polarity and voltage can be found in the operating instructions of your device
or on the original power supply unit.
• Do not overload the product.
• Make sure that the polarity is correct.
• Do not operate your equipment until the correct output voltage has been set.
• Make sure that the input current of your connected device does not exceed the max. load capaci-
ty of the power supply unit!
The power supply unit has a storage compartment (3) in which the setting tool is located on delivery.
You can also store the adapter plugs in the compartment.
1. Determine the required output voltage for your device.
2. Turn the switch for setting the output voltage (4) with the aid of the setting tool (7) so that the ar-
rowhead points to the required output voltage.
3. Connect the appropriate adapter plug (6) to the DC socket (5) of the pow-
er supply unit. Pay attention to the correct polarity (see image on the right)
and t of the plug.
Most devices work with positive polarity, i.e. with the positive pole on the in-
ner contact.
4. Insert the cigarette lighter plug (2) into a free and easily accessible socket.
An operating LED (1) lights up while the power supply unit is supplied with power.
5. Connect the adapter plug to the unit.
6. Disconnect all plug connections after use.
6 Maintenance, Care, Storage and Transportation
The product is maintenance-free.
NOTICE! Material damage
• Always disconnect the mains plug before cleaning.
• Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
• Do not use detergents or chemicals.
• Store the product out the reach of children and in a dry and dust-protected ambience when not
in use.
• Store cool and dry.
• Keep and use the original packaging for transport.
7 Disposal instructions
7.1 Product
According to the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic equipment must not be
disposed with consumers waste. Its components must be recycled or disposed apart from
each other. Otherwise contaminative and hazardous substances can damage the health and
pollute the environment.
As a consumer, you are committed by law to dispose electrical and electronic devices to the
producer, the dealer, or public collecting points at the end of the devices lifetime for free. Particulars
are regulated in national right. The symbol on the product, in the user manual, or at the packaging
alludes to these terms. With this kind of waste separation, application, and waste disposal of used
devices you achieve an important share to environmental protection.

7.2 Packaging
Packaging can be disposed of free of charge at the suitable collection points – paper belongs
in paper bins, plastics belong in yellow sacks and glass belongs in used glass bins.
