Usage Features:
- Assembly: The manual provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the bike, starting with attaching the stabilizers to the main frame, then the seat posts and seat, followed by the handlebar post and handlebar, and finally the pedals. It emphasizes connecting the computer line correctly.
- Adjustability:
- Seat Height: Slacken the spring knob on the vertical post stem, pull the knob back, position the post to the desired height, align holes, release, and retighten.
- Seat Position (Forward/Backward): Loosen the adjusting knob and washer, pull the knob back, slide the horizontal seat post, align holes, and retighten.
- Handlebar Height: Slacken the spring knob and secondary knob, pull both knobs back, slide the handlebar post, align holes, tighten the spring adjusting knob, and then the secondary knob.
- Resistance: The Emergency Brake & Resistance Control Knob (pt.56) is used to adjust resistance. Turning it right increases resistance, and turning it left decreases resistance.
- Emergency Brake: The same knob (pt.56) functions as an emergency brake. Pressing it down firmly will stop the flywheel.
- Workout Phases: The manual outlines a typical exercise program:
- Warm-Up Phase: Helps blood flow, prepares muscles, and reduces injury risk. Includes stretching exercises (forward bends, side bends, outer thigh, inner thigh, calf/Achilles stretches) held for approximately 30 seconds.
- Exercise Phase: The main workout, focusing on maintaining a steady tempo to raise heart rate into a target zone (70-85% of maximum heart rate, based on age). This phase should last a minimum of 12 minutes.
- Cool-Down Phase: A repeat of the warm-up, gradually reducing tempo for about 5 minutes, followed by stretching.
- Muscle Toning: Achieved by setting resistance quite high, which puts more strain on leg muscles. The training program may need to be altered, increasing resistance towards the end of the exercise phase, potentially reducing speed to maintain the target heart rate.
- Weight Loss: Focuses on the amount of effort and duration of the workout, as harder and longer work burns more calories.
Maintenance Features:
- Safety Notice: Emphasizes keeping children and pets away, not leaving children unattended, and prohibiting handicapped/disabled persons from using the bike without supervision. Users experiencing dizziness, nausea, chest pain, or other abnormal symptoms should stop immediately and consult a physician.
- Pre-Training: Remove all objects within a 2-meter radius, avoid sharp objects, and place the bike on a clear, level surface away from water/moisture, preferably with a mat underneath for stability and floor protection.
- Assembly Accuracy: Assemble strictly according to the manual.
- Pre-Use Check: Check all bolts and connections before first use to ensure safety.
- Routine Inspection: Conduct routine inspections, paying special attention to wear-prone components like connecting points and wheels. Replace defective parts immediately. Do not use the bike if it is not functioning properly or until repairs are complete.
- Cleaning: Do not use abrasive cleaning articles. Remove sweat drops immediately after training.
- Clothing: Always wear appropriate workout clothing, including running or aerobic shoes.
- Stretching: Always stretch before exercising.
- Single User: The machine is designed for only one person's training at a time.
