The GOVECS ELMOTO KICK is an electric scooter designed for short commutes in urban, non-urban, company, or private property environments. It is an electric vehicle, and in Germany, drivers must be at least 14 years old and the vehicle must have valid insurance and an insurance license plate. Users in other countries should check their local terms of use. The driver must be physically and mentally capable of operating the vehicle, and it should not be operated under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It is also important to keep the vehicle away from children and individuals unable to drive it properly.
Function Description:
The ELMOTO KICK is an electric scooter that provides personal mobility. It features a remote control for power on/off and locking functions. When powered on, the front and rear lights illuminate, and a beep indicates it's ready to ride. After 5 minutes of inactivity, it automatically enters a locked mode. The "Lock" button activates an anti-theft function, which triggers a continuous beep alarm and blinking lights if the motor is moved, generating resistance to prevent turning. This mode, however, increases power consumption. The scooter is designed for a single rider and should not be used with more than one person.

Usage Features:
The scooter requires initial assembly, which involves unfolding the steering column, securing the folding system, and tightening handlebar screws. For first-time riders, it's crucial to wear a helmet and protective equipment. To start, turn on the power with the remote control, place one foot on the pedal board, and push off with the other foot. Once moving at about 3.0 km/h, place the pushing foot behind the front foot and gently press the throttle. Braking should always involve both the front and rear brakes simultaneously to avoid falls. When turning, lean slightly in the desired direction and slowly turn the handlebar.
Safety reminders include: always ride with both feet on the pedal board, avoid obstacles, do not hang items on the handlebar, avoid riding in heavy rain, do not press the throttle while pushing the scooter, do not accelerate on down ramps, avoid bumping into high obstacles, and maintain slow speeds (3-6 km/h) on irregular surfaces. It's also important not to ride with one hand or no hands, avoid water pudd deeper than 2 cm, do not ride in the middle of traffic or residential areas among pedestrians, and avoid sharp turns at high speeds. Do not touch the brake disc after braking as it will be hot. Do not step on the rear fender or jump over obstacles.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Clean the surfaces of the electric scooter with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive chemical solvents, as these can damage the appearance and internal structure. Do not rinse the scooter with water or use a high-pressure spray gun, as this can cause internal damage.
- Battery Care: Ensure both batteries are fully charged and have the same charge status. Refer to the Einhell charger and battery manuals for detailed instructions. Store batteries in a cool place (ideally 15°C) and charged to at least 40%. Avoid deep discharge cycles and charge frequently. Lithium-ion batteries age naturally; replace them when capacity drops to 80%. Do not throw batteries into fire or expose them to high temperatures. Protect batteries from overloads, moisture, rain, and high humidity. Store the charger and scooter in dry places between 10-40°C.
- Battery Replacement: Open the rubber seal, insert the key, open the battery compartment cover, and remove the two Einhell Power X-Change batteries. Always hold the cover to prevent it from falling and avoid dropping the batteries.
- Brake Adjustment: If the brake feels too tight, loosen the Allen key screw counter-clockwise, pull the brake to shorten the brake wire, and then tighten the screw. If the brake feels too loose, loosen the screw, pull the brake wire to extend it, and then tighten the screw. Always check brake performance on a safe, flat road.
- Steering Column Adjustment: If the vertical tube wobbles during riding, stop immediately and check if the folding mechanism is correctly locked. Use the Allen key to tighten the screw clockwise.
- Error Handling: The display shows error codes for throttle lever (E2), motor (E4), and brake (E5) issues. If the remote control doesn't respond, check the button cell charge and battery charge in the vehicle. If the scooter turns on but the throttle doesn't respond, turn the vehicle off and on again and push it a few meters. For extended range, carrying additional lightweight Power X-Change batteries is recommended.
- Disposal: Used electrical and electronic products, including Power X-Change batteries, should be disposed of separately according to local regulations, not with household waste. They should be collected and transported to prevent dangerous substances from being released. Certified waste disposal companies treat these products to recover raw materials. Batteries should be packed individually in plastic bags for shipping or disposal to prevent short circuits and fires.
