To Remove Existing Harness Tongues and Buckle and Attach Replacement Buckle

Remove chest clip.
DO NOT DISCARD
the chest clip.

Remove harness
strap loops from
splitter plate.
Pull harness straps
through seat back and
seat pad.
Unbuckle harness
by tilting top of
buckle down,
press top of
red button, and
pull tongues
out of buckle.
Remove and
discard tongues.
Slide NEW buckle
onto harness straps.
MAKE sure not to
twist straps.
Re-attach chest clip.
MAKE sure not to
twist straps.
Re-insert straps through slots
in seat pad and seat back.

for proper height setting for
your child.
To loosen straps, lift lever
and pull harness straps.

Re-insert straps back onto splitter plate.

Remove and Attach Replacement Buckle

Adjust Headrest and Loosen Straps

Adjust headrest to highest position and loosen harness straps by lifting the lever.

Remove Harness Components

Install New Buckle and Chest Clip

Slide new buckle onto straps, re-attach chest clip, ensuring no twists.

Re-insert Harness Straps

Re-insert straps through seat pad and back, then onto the splitter plate.

Final Assembly and Checks

Prepare Seat Pad for Buckle Installation

Undo clips from seat pad and lift it to pull the buckle through the crotch slot.

Remove Old Buckle Assembly

Reach under the seat to the metal retainer, push it up, and remove the old buckle.

Install New Buckle Assembly

Insert the new buckle's metal retainer into the crotch slot and pull the buckle through the seat pad.

Secure Seat Pad and Recline

Wrap seat pad, re-attach clips, pull adjustment strap, and tuck seat pad around recline handle.

Insert Harness Tongues and Final Check

Insert new tongues into buckle and perform final checks for security and strap twists.
