IMPORTANT!
Watch the following safety instructions before starting to clean the unit:
Switch the unit off before cleaning and pull the power cord from the electric
socket.
Let the unit cool down before cleaning.
Use a soft and moist cloth to clean the outer surfaces of the unit. Use a mild de-

Remove the lid from the glass jug.
Clean these parts in hot rinsing water.
Then towel them well and reinsert the coffee lter and glass jug.
DESCALING
Descale the unit in regular intervals. This will extend the service life of your unit.
How often you must descale the unit depends on the water hardness in your area.
If you have very hard water (above 26° dH) and drink coffee very often, we recom-
mend that you descale the unit every two to three weeks.
IMPORTANT!
We accept no liability for missing or insufcient decalcication.
In this case, the warranty will become null and void.
You can descale the unit using any household descaling agent. Observe the manu-
facturer's instructions and comply with the operating manual.

Put in a lter bag so that lime residues are absorbed therein.
Put the glass jug below the coffee lter.
Switch the unit on.
Let the liquid ow through.
Dispose of the lter bag after completion of the operation and pour out the de-
calcication mixture.
Switch the unit off.
Now rinse the machine with clear water. Pour clear water into the water tank up

Put the glass jug below the coffee lter.
Switch the machine on and let the water ow through.
