Why won't my Grand Cafe CGE06ALP light?
    • H
      haneypaulJul 31, 2025
Several factors can prevent your Grand Cafe Grill from lighting. First, ensure the burner tubes are correctly positioned over the orifices. If misaligned, reposition them. Also, check for any obstructions in the gas line; if present, open the gas supply briefly to clear it (remove the fuel line from grill first). A plugged orifice can also be the culprit; remove the screw from the rear of each burner, take out the orifice from the gas valve, and gently clear any blockage with a fine wire before reinstalling everything. Lastly, make sure the ignitor is properly aligned on the burner, with a gap of approximately 3/16" between the electrode tip and spark receiver; adjust if needed.

What to do if my Grand Cafe CGE06ALP won't light?
    • B
      Bob CastilloAug 6, 2025
If your Grand Cafe Grill won't light, start by turning all control knobs to the OFF position and shutting off the gas at the tank valve. Disconnect the regulator from the LP Gas tank and wait five minutes to allow air to purge. Then, reconnect the regulator, open the grill lids, and slowly turn the tank valve on about 1/4 of a turn. Push and turn the middle control knob farthest from the open tank to HIGH, and press the electric ignitor for 3-4 seconds to light the burners. If this doesn't work, turn the gas off at the source and control knobs, wait five minutes, and try again. Also, verify the gas supply and connections.

How to fix Grand Cafe CGE06ALP igniter?
    • M
      Melanie TorresAug 12, 2025
To troubleshoot the igniter on your Grand Cafe Grill, first inspect the ignitor junction box behind the control panel for any disconnected electric wires and connect any loose wires. If that doesn't resolve the issue, check the AA battery; unscrew the ignitor cap and replace the battery. Also, verify the alignment of the ignitor on the burner, ensuring the electrode tip and spark receiver have a gap of approximately 3/16". Adjust if necessary. With the gas supply closed and all control knobs set to OFF press the electric ignitor cap and check for the presence of a spark at the electrode.

Why is there no spark on my Grand Cafe CGE06ALP?
    • E
      Eric WallsAug 18, 2025
A lack of spark on your Grand Cafe Grill could stem from several issues. Begin by checking the ignitor junction box behind the control panel for disconnected electric wires and reconnect any that are loose. Next, ensure the AA battery is not weak; replace it if necessary. Also, verify the alignment of the ignitor on the burner, confirming that the electrode tip and spark receiver have the correct gap (approximately 3/16").

How to clear obstruction in Grand Cafe Grill gas line?
    • M
      Melissa UnderwoodAug 25, 2025
To clear a potential obstruction in the gas line of your Grand Cafe Grill, briefly open the gas supply for one second to clear it. Important: Remove the fuel line from the grill first. Do not attempt to remove any obstruction from the fuel line itself. After clearing the line, close off the gas supply at the source and reconnect the fuel line to the grill.
