Resistance to Ground Test
1. Connect the red test lead to a ground
such as the frame of the device to be
checked.
2. Connect the black test lead to the
circuit.
3. Turn the hand crank approximately
2-1/2 to 3 turns per second and read
the display.
Resistance Between Wires Test
1. Connect the test leads to the
conductors.
2. Turn the hand crank approximately
2-1/2 to 3 turns per second and read
the display.
To Determine the Insulation
Resistance:
• 250-volt range: Tester Reading x .5 =
Resistance in Megohms
• 500-volt range: Tester Reading =
Resistance in Megohms
• 1000-volt range: Tester Reading x 2 =
Resistance in Megohms
