What to do if my Greenlee Cutter is inoperative?
- PPatrick ClayJul 30, 2025
If your Greenlee Cutter is inoperative, the cutting blades stop during operation, the battery load display flashes constantly, or the tool loses oil, there could be several reasons: * Dirt or contaminants in the ram area. Clean the tool. * Damaged crimper battery contacts. Reform the contacts. * Low battery charge. Charge or replace the battery. * Low oil level. Check the oil level and refill the reservoir. * Air in the hydraulic system. Pull the trigger and hold the retract button simultaneously for about 10 seconds. * Oil plug not installed properly. Refill the reservoir and replace the plug. * If the components are worn or damaged or the internal seal is damaged, return the tool to an authorized Greenlee service center.
