      If the Greenlee Cutter wrinkles, creases on the side, or won’t bend the EMT, it might be due to several reasons. First, ensure the shoe pin is correctly positioned in the hole marked EMT. Second, check that the follow bar is inserted correctly, with the end marked START toward the saddle. Also, verify that the contact surfaces between the shoe and follow bar are clean and free from damage. The follow bar should be positioned within 1" of the saddle at the start of the bend and centered on the roller. Other potential causes include worn or spread shoe or follow bar grooves (replace as necessary), a roller that isn’t rolling (lubricate it), high yield strength conduit (use standard EMT), conduit not being level (level it), a pipe vise unit clamped too close (move it further), or a worn follo...
