TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM CAUSE REMEDY
With the key in the AVV. [ON]

Carburettor problems
- Clean or replace the air filter
- Check there is no air in the fuel line
- Bleed the fuel supply system
Sediment or dirt in the fuel
The starter motor turns but the
engine will not start
No diesel flow
- Check fuel level in the tank
- Check the diesel filter (and replace if necessary)
- Check that the breather hole in the fuel cap is
not blocked
Plugs not warmed up enough on cold engine
The timer does not give the
consent
- Check the connections
- Replace the timer
The electro-stop does not run its full course
Drop in engine performance
while cutting
Advance speed too high for the
grass height
- Reduce speed
- Lift the cutting deck by a few notches
Engine stops when blades are

- Check tyre pressures

- Check engine oil level and top up if necessary
- Change engine oil filter
CAUTION: If the problems continue after having carried out the operations described in this manual,
contact an Authorised Service Centre. Never attempt to make difficult reparations without the necessary
means and technical knowledge.
IMPACT WITH A STONE OR SOME OTHER FOREIGN OBJECT
1) Turn off the blades
2) Lift up the mower deck.
3) Turn off the engine and pull the parking brake.
4) Check the blade fixing screws and the deck state.
5) Please check that the foreign body has not got into the accelerator or the pipe.
MECHANICAL PARKING BRAKE
You need to keep the parking brake device wire (fig. 27, ref.A) adjusted. The brake is engaged by pushing the pedal
(fig. 1 n°3) and by putting the block (fig. 1 n°5) in. To release the brake push the same pedal (fig. 1 n°3) again.
Always use the parking brake even if when the engine is switched off the machine is automatically braking. The
engine keeps on even when the operator leaves the driving seat, if the parking brake is engaged and the blades are
disengaged.
