What to do if my Grizzly G0814 Industrial Equipment has excessive snipe?
- MMarc GrimesJul 30, 2025
Excessive snipe, which is an uneven gouge at the end of the board, can occur if the outfeed table is too low or the knives/inserts are set too high. Align the outfeed table with the cutterhead knife/insert and adjust the height of the knives/inserts evenly with the outfeed table. It can also happen if the operator is pushing down on the trailing end of the workpiece as it leaves the cutterhead. To resolve this, reduce or eliminate downward pressure on the trailing end of the workpiece.
