Operating Manual - please read carefully before putting into operation!
Microprocessor-controlled dosing unit for automatically daily dosing of trace-element solutions.
The basic device TEC 4 NG switches on and off 4 dosing pumps which are integrated in the housing and thus doses to the
aquarium maximum 4 different trace-element solutions, whereby the daily dosing quantity of each pump of 1 – 1999 ml/day
as well as the dosing frequency of 1 - 24 times (splitting of the adjusted dosing quantity) has to be adjusted.
Also all pumps could be switched off by the day.
With the additional modules EP II and/or EP IV (not included in the scope of supply), the device can dose up to 12 different
liquids and quantities.
The dosing pumps have self-suction-effect. Suction height 8 metre H
2
O pressure height 10 metre H
2
O.
Dosing accuracy uncalibrated ± 20 % over life-time.
Menue structure:
-SETUP CLOCK (setting the time rsp. correct the time)
-MANUAL CONTROL (manually operating of pumps)
-SETUP PROGRAM (programming of pumps / setting of dosing quantity)
-CALIBRATION (calibrating of TEC 4 NG, EPII rsp. EPIV
Programming:
Setup clock (supply condition):
After having plugged in the AC/DC-adapter (or after a longer period of interruption of mains supply), the device starts
with the time indication 00:00. First of all, the current time should be set as follows:
Setup of clock resp. correction of time
By pressing the key
the main menue is entered.
Press the arrow key
or
that often till you reach item SETUP CLOCK
By pressing the key the sub-menue is entered.

Now the hour value can be changed by pressing the arrow keys
or
. When pressing the key
the number of hours is increased.
Now please set the requested time (hours) i.e. 19:00 h
By pressing the key
the hour value is set and the cursor moves to minutes.

Now the minutes can be set.
After having set the requested time, press again key
and the cursor moves to day.
SetDay
MON
Now the day can be set by pressing the arrow key
or
. (MON=Monday / TUE=Tuesday /
WED=Wednesday / THU=Thursday / FRI=Friday / SAT=Saturday / SUN=Sunday)
After having set the requested day, press again the key
and the set time and the day and are stored.
In case of interruption of mains supply, the clock continues to run over up to 3 days.
Manual control of the pumps:
You have the possibility to control the individual pumps manually. That means you can control
the individual pumps separately for deaeration.
By pressing the key
the main menue is entered
Press the arrow key
or
that often till you reach item MANUAL CONTROL
By pressing the key
the sub-menue is entered
Now Pump 1 is indicated on the display
By pressing the key
pump 1 starts dispensing.
Now with the arrow key
or
other pumps can be chosen and the rubber hoses can be deaerated.
By pressing again the key
you leave the programme.
Programming of pumps/ adjustment of dosing quantity:
By pressing the key
the main menue is entered.
Press the arrow key
or
that often till you reach item SETUP PROGRAM
By pressing the key
the sub-menue is entered. The display now indicates
SETUP
P 1-4
By pressing the key or you can now choose the pumps 1-4 (integrated in the basic device),
pumps 4-7 (additional module) or 8-11 (additional module). (Menue point pump 5-8 and/or
pump 9-12 is indicated only if corresponding additional devices are connected)
