2. Installation
2.1 Pump location
The pump must be installed with the motor shaft
vertical. The pump must be mounted on a flat
surface and secured by foundation bolts.
The pump should be installed so that the suction
pipe is as short and the suction lift as small as
possible.
The pump should be sited in a well ventilated but
frost-free position (see section 5.1 Frost protection).
It may be sited outside, but it should be protected
from the elements by means of a suitable cover.
2.2 Position of terminal box
The terminal box can be turned to any one of the
positions shown in fig. 1 before the pump is installed.

To change the terminal box position, choose one of
the following two procedures, depending on pump
type:
CHV 2 and CHV 4-40/-50/-60:
1. Remove the four staybolts which, from the motor
side, are screwed into the discharge chamber.
2. Turn the stator housing to the desired position.
The discharge chamber must not be turned with
the stator housing.
3. Fit and tighten the staybolts diagonally to 15 Nm.
CHV 4-80 and CHV 4-100:
1. Remove the four screws holding the fan cover.
Remove the cover.
2. Remove the fan.
3. Remove the four staybolts holding the stator
housing.
4. Lift off the stator housing.
5. Remove the two screws holding the discharge
chamber together, see fig. 2.

6. Turn the upper part of the discharge chamber to
the desired terminal box position.
7. Replace the two screws in the discharge
chamber and tighten the screws to 8 Nm.
8. Fit the stator housing.
9. Fit the four staybolts and tighten to 4.5 to 6 Nm.
10. Fit the fan.
11. Fit the cover. Fit the four screws and tighten
securely.
