The desired trimming length is then selected by turning the rolling knob (D) forwards or backwards. A position indicator (H) displays the currently adjusted length. For hair trimming, it is recommended to ensure the hair is clean and completely dry. For trimming contours, the adjustable combs (E or F) can be removed, allowing the appliance to cut at its minimum length of 1.5 mm.
The appliance is designed to charge and operate optimally between 15°C and 40°C. Before first use or after a long period of inactivity, the batteries should be fully charged for approximately 24 hours. Subsequent charging takes about 12 hours. A full charge provides approximately 45 minutes of operating time. It is recommended to charge the batteries only when they are completely discharged to prolong their service life. Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the appliance's top performance and optimal results. The adjustable combs (E or F) are removed, and the cutting head (A) is cleaned with the supplied cleaning brush (L). To thoroughly clean, the cutting head (A) can be pushed outwards to remove it from the appliance. Both the detached cutting head and the cavity in the appliance are then cleaned with the brush (L). After cleaning, the cutting head (A) is reinserted by first placing its claw into the cavity and then pressing until it clicks into place.
It is important to note that the appliance itself should never be cleaned with water or any other liquids; only the provided cleaning brush should be used. However, the cutting head and the two adjustable combs can be rinsed with water after being removed from the appliance. Any clippings should be removed after each use.
While the cutting head does not normally require oiling, it is recommended to oil it at regular intervals with the provided oil (K) to maintain its original condition for as long as possible.
In cases where the appliance becomes blocked by thick hair, it should be switched off. If operating from the mains, unplug it from the socket. Remove the adjustable comb and clean the cutting head with the brush. If the blades move slowly or not at all, a thorough cleaning as described above is necessary.
For safety, the power adapter must always be kept dry.
