What to do if my GUIDANCE MARINE CyScan AS system appears to be operational but no reflections are displayed?
    • S
      sburnsAug 8, 2025
If the system appears operational but no reflections are displayed within the CyScan Dashboard, make sure that the dynamic and static blanking zones are configured correctly. Clean the CyScan sensor window. Check whether there are any reflections listed on the Reflections menu and that the Zoom control on the main screen is set appropriately. Also, check that the Tilt controls and the Power controls on the Reflections menu are set appropriately. Finally, ensure that the Range Filters on the Reflections menu are set appropriately.

How to fix no communication between CyScan Dashboard and the GUIDANCE MARINE CyScan AS Marine Equipment Sensor?
    • R
      rodriguezdominicAug 12, 2025
To resolve the communication issue between the CyScan Dashboard and the sensor, try the following: Click the Disconnect button and then the Connect button. Check the power and client connections to the sensor. Ensure the unit displays the current time on the sensor information display; if errors are shown, power cycle the sensor. Finally, verify that the data feed converter is powered (yellow LED on) and that the outer transmit/receive lights are flashing once every couple of seconds.

What to do if my GUIDANCE MARINE CyScan AS system operates correctly but in cold weather loses targets?
    • L
      Lindsey GomezAug 17, 2025
If the system operates correctly but loses targets in cold weather, check for condensation or ice on the targets and the sensor window. Clean them if necessary.

Why doesn't the rotor rotate on my GUIDANCE MARINE CyScan AS Marine Equipment?
    • C
      Carrie WhiteAug 22, 2025
The rotor may not rotate due to several reasons: 1. The unit's temperature might be below -15°C. Ensure the temperature is above -15°C. 2. The Dashboard might be showing a 'Motor Stall' alarm. If so, suspend and then resume the unit to restart the motor. 3. There might be a mechanical blockage preventing rotation. Investigate and remove any blockage. 4. Check the sensor information display on the system unit for any errors. If errors are displayed, power cycle the unit and observe the messages on the display. 5. Ice build-up under the rotor can also prevent rotation. Remove any ice present.

Why is my GUIDANCE MARINE CyScan AS Marine Equipment system operational but is not tracking?
    • M
      Megan HughesAug 27, 2025
If the system is operational but not tracking, ensure that the sensor has a clear view of the targets and that the blanking zones are not blocking the targets from view. In the case of Multi-Target tracking, verify that a suitable set of targets has been selected.
