  An over-temperature safety circuit with four thermal limit safety switches is attached to the heating tubes. If the tube surface temperature exceeds 230° F, the thermal limit safety switch will automatically trip the primary heater circuit breaker to OFF. Allow the Primary Heater to cool down before resetting the circuit breaker. Do not attempt to reset the circuit breaker more than once; determine and correct the problem's cause first.

  The Hose Heat Solid State Relay (SSR) needs proper heat dissipation via the heat sink. Ensure the heat sink isn't obstructed by rags or coverings and that the unit has adequate air circulation. With power OFF, remove the lead from terminal #1 on the SSR and check for continuity across terminals #1 and #2. If continuity exists, the SSR is shorted and must be replaced.

  The primary heating circuit is protected by two 30 Amp fuses. With power OFF, remove the fuse(s) and check for continuity, or replace it with a fuse known to be good.

  With the Main Power OFF, remove the lead from terminal #1 on the Primary Heater SSR. Check for continuity across terminals #1 and #2. If there is continuity, the SSR has shorted closed and needs to be replaced.

  The H-2000/H-3500 hose heater operates effectively with up to 310 feet of hose. At 310 feet, the hose temperature should increase by approximately 120° F in 40 minutes. Using hose lengths exceeding 310 feet will reduce its heating capability.

  The three heat controller units on the H2000/H-3500 are interchangeable. To check if a control unit works, power OFF, and replace the controller in question with one that is known to be functional.

  The three heat control units on the H-2000/H-3500 are directly interchangeable. To check if the control unit is working correctly, switch OFF the power, and swap the suspected control with one known to be in good working order.
