BORON (0 to 14.0 mg/L)
For water and wastewater
Carmine Method*
1. Measure 75.0 mL
of sulfuric acid, ACS,
using a 100-mL
graduated cylinder,
into a 250-mL
erlenmeyer flask.
Note: All glassware
must be completely dry.
Excess water will cause
low results.
2. Add the contents
of one BoroVer 3
Reagent Powder
Pillow to the flask.
Swirl to mix.
Note: The powder will
dissolve within five
minutes.

3. Accurately pipet
2.0 mL of
demineralized water
into a 125-mL
erlenmeyer flask (the
blank).
