Function Description:
The Hafele Nagold SERENE FI02 is a household dishwasher designed to clean dishes, cutlery, and cookware. It features a water softener system to remove minerals and salts from hard water, preventing deposits on dishes. The appliance uses a detergent dispenser for main wash and pre-wash cycles, and a rinse aid dispenser to prevent spots and streaks and improve drying. It offers multiple wash programs, including Intensive, Normal, ECO, Glass, 1 Hour, and Rapid, catering to different levels of soiling and wash requirements. The dishwasher is equipped with spray arms for effective cleaning and a filtering system to prevent food particles from clogging the pump. A "Half load functions" button allows for reduced water and energy consumption when washing smaller loads (up to 6 place settings). The appliance also includes a delay start function and indicators for salt and rinse aid levels.

- Filtering System: Consists of a coarse filter, a flat (main) filter, and a microfilter. These should be cleaned regularly, ideally after each wash cycle, by rinsing under running water. The entire filter assembly should be cleaned once a week.
- Cleaning the Dishwasher:
- Control Panel: Clean with a lightly dampened cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Exterior: Use appliance polish wax. Avoid sharp objects, scouring pads, or harsh cleaners.
- Door: Clean edges with a soft, warm, damp cloth. Do not use spray cleaners to avoid damage to the door lock and electrical components. Avoid abrasive agents or paper towels on stainless steel surfaces.
- Spray Arms: Clean regularly to prevent clogging. Remove the upper spray arm by rotating it clockwise after holding the nut. Pull out the lower spray arm. Wash in soapy, warm water and use a soft brush to clean jets.
- Protect Against Freezing: In winter, cut off electrical power, turn off water supply, disconnect and drain water from the inlet pipe and valve, and remove water from the sump with a sponge.
- Long-Term Storage: Run an empty wash cycle, remove the plug, turn off water supply, and leave the door slightly open to prolong seal life and prevent odors.
- Seals: Clean periodically with a damp sponge to prevent food trapping and odors.
