It also includes a manual override feature, allowing users to keep the light on or off as needed, independent of the automatic timer. This simplicity makes it suitable for straightforward applications where a basic timed lighting function is required.
The EMN005 is a more advanced, multi-function staircase time lag switch, offering a choice of four distinct operating modes to cater to a wider range of needs and preferences.
Similar to the EMN001, in Basic Mode, a brief press of a push button switches on the light. After an adjustable time "T," the light will automatically switch off. This mode provides the fundamental timed lighting control.
This mode enhances safety and convenience by providing a visual alert before the lights turn off. When the lighting period is nearing its end, the lights will blink (a signal) to pre-warn occupants. This gives users a chance to react, either by pressing the button again to extend the lighting period or by safely exiting the area before darkness. The diagram illustrates a typical sequence where the light stays on for time "T," followed by a pre-warning blink (e.g., at 10 seconds and 30 seconds before shut-off), before finally turning off.
The Double Delay Mode offers two distinct time delays based on the duration of the push button press. A brief press of the push button will switch on the light, which will then automatically switch off after an adjustable time "T." However, if the push button is pressed for more than 3 seconds, a longer time lag of one hour will be initiated. This feature is particularly useful for situations where a longer lighting period is occasionally needed, such as during cleaning or maintenance, without requiring constant re-triggering of the timer. The diagram shows the light staying on for time "T" for a brief press, and for 1 hour for a long press (>3 seconds).
This mode combines the features of both Double Delay and Pre-warning modes, offering the most comprehensive functionality.
