  • Temperature Range: Adjustable from 61°F (16°C) to 86°F (30°C).
  • Operating Temperature (Cool Mode): Not recommended below 61°F (16°C) outside temperature to prevent evaporator coil freeze-up.
  • Compressor Delay: Built-in 3-minute delay when turning on or switching from cool to fan mode to protect the compressor.

Usage Features:

  • Operating Modes:
    • Fan: Runs only the fan at High, Med, or Quiet speed. Temperature cannot be set in this mode.
    • Cool: Cools the room. Offers High, Med, Quiet, or Auto Cool fan speeds. Temperature is adjustable.
    • Energy Save: Fan runs only when cooling is needed. The fan cycles on for 2 minutes at 10-minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, then the compressor turns back on. The fan runs for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off.
    • Dehum: Aids in removing humidity. Cannot be used to cool the room. Compressor may stop and fan runs in Quiet speed only if the set temperature is close to ambient temperature.
  • Speed Settings: High, Med, Quiet, and Auto Cool (adjusts fan speed automatically for ideal cooling).
  • Temperature Control: Adjustable using TEMP/TIME arrow buttons on the control panel or remote. Display can switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).

  • Remote Control: Allows for convenient operation of all functions from a distance. Requires two AAA batteries. Features include POWER, Speed (High, Med, Quiet, Auto Cool), Mode (Fan, Cool, Energy Save, Dehum), TEMP UP/DOWN, TIMER ON/OFF, F/C (Fahrenheit/Celsius), SLEEP, LOCK (disables button functionality), LIGHT (turns display off/on), and RESET (resets unit to factory settings).
  • Power Supply Cord: Equipped with an LCDI device for safety, with TEST and RESET buttons. Users are instructed to test this periodically.
  • Installation: Designed for double-hung window installation only. Not for through-the-wall sleeves or wall installation. Requires proper grounding and a specific window opening size.

Maintenance Features:

  • Air Filter Cleaning: The air filter is removable for easy cleaning. A Filter Reset light illuminates after 240 hours of operation to remind users to clean it. Cleaning can be done with a vacuum cleaner or by washing with warm water and mild detergent. It must be air-dried completely before reinstallation. Operating the unit without the filter is not recommended.
  • Front Panel Cleaning: The front panel can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Chemical cleaners, sharp instruments, or flammable fluids should not be used as they can damage the surface.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: Provides solutions for common issues such as the unit not starting, remote control not working, insufficient cooling, excessive cooling, frequent cycling, and water drips.
  • Normal Sounds: The manual describes normal operating sounds, including air movement, window vibration (if not installed correctly), pinging (water droplets on the coil, can be reduced by removing the subbase water plug, though this lowers energy efficiency), high-pitched hum (compressor), clicking (thermostat), and gurgling (refrigerant).
  • Customer Service: Haier Customer Service can be reached at 1-877-337-3639 for missing parts, damaged power supply cords, or other product issues. Dated proof of purchase, model, and serial numbers are required for warranty service.
  • Storage: Users are advised to keep the Use & Care Guide, carton, and packing material for future use when removing, storing, and reinstalling the air conditioner. The unit should be kept upright and level, and allowed to stand for 2 hours before operation after installation.
