Some models also feature a "Smart-dose" tray for automatic liquid detergent dispensing. The machine can be controlled via a dial and buttons on the control panel, and some models support Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control via a mobile app and over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Usage Features

The washing machine offers a variety of programs and customizable options:

Control Panel and Display:

  • Dial: Used to select automatic programs such as Mix, Cotton, Delicate, Durable, Eco, Express, Bedding, Wool, Hygiene, Bulky, Drum Clean, and Downloaded programs.
  • Buttons:
    • Water Level: Selects water level (Auto, Low, Med, High, and intermediate levels). In "Auto" mode, the machine detects load size and selects the appropriate water level.
    • Water Temp: Selects wash temperature (Cold, Warm, Hot, and intermediate levels). Certain cycles have temperature restrictions (e.g., Eco, Delicate, Wool cannot use "Hot"). Hygiene and Drum Clean default to "Hot."
    • Wash+: Offers options like "Auto Dose" (for HWT10AD1, HWT10ADB1, HWT12AD1 models, with 5 adjustable levels), "Soiled+" (increases wash time by 30% and includes a 15-minute soak), and "UV Sanitise" (kills bacteria, not available for Delicate, Bulky, Express, Wool cycles, but default for Hygiene and Drum Clean).
    • Options: Selects special features such as "Pre Wash," "Extra Rinse," and "Eco Rinse." Pre Wash requires Auto Dose to be selected (for HWT10AD1, HWT10ADB1, HWT12AD1). Eco Rinse is default for the Eco cycle, and Extra Rinse is default for the Hygiene cycle.

  • Low suds/high-efficiency washing powder or liquid is recommended.

Special Features:

  • Favourite: Users can save custom wash cycles with desired modifiers.
  • Child Lock: Prevents accidental changes to the wash cycle. Activated by holding "Spin Speed" and "Advance Wash" buttons for 1 second after starting. Deactivated by holding the same buttons for more than 1 second.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity:

General Maintenance:

  • Always remove the power plug before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Do not wash directly with water.
  • Wipe the cabinet with a damp cloth and neutral detergent.
  • Avoid using thinners, petrol, alcohol, or other harsh solvents.
  • After each wash, turn off the tap and drain the water completely.
  • Hang up the power cord and drain hose.
  • Wipe any water drops from the machine surface and inside the tub.
  • Leave the lid open for about 1 hour after each wash to evaporate residual water.

Cleaning Components:

  • Lint Filters: Two lint filters must be used during washing and cleaned after each wash. To remove, push down the spring piece of the top filter, pull out, open the back, remove lint, then reassemble.
  • Detergent Box: Clean periodically to ensure even detergent distribution and prevent build-up. Dismantle by tilting upward and pulling out, clean with a brush and duster cloth, then flush with water, and push back in.
  • Water Inlet Valve Filter: May become blocked by impurities. Clean with a plastic bristled brush every two months.

Troubleshooting: The manual includes a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues and error codes:

  • E1 (Drainage issues): Check for blocked drain hose or drainage time exceeding 8 minutes.
  • E2 (Lid not closed): Close the top lid.
  • Ob (Load imbalance/machine not level): Redistribute laundry, level the machine, or check the safety switch.
  • E4 (Water supply issues): Check if the water tap is closed, water supply is interrupted, water inlet valve is blocked, or water pressure is too low.
  • Water tap leaks: Fasten the inlet hose.
  • Machine does not work (power related): Check for power failure, ensure plug is inserted tightly, or verify water level has reached the preset position.
  • Machine does not spin (load related): Ensure plug is inserted tightly, top lid is closed, or laundry is evenly distributed.
  • Abnormal sounds: Level the machine, redistribute laundry, or remove foreign objects from the tub.
  • FA (Water level sensor failed): Contact Customer Care.
  • F2 (Overflow Error): Contact Customer Care.
  • E2-1 (Door lock alarm): Contact Customer Care.
  • FC1 (Communication failure between display board and motor driver): Contact Customer Care.
  • FC2 (Communication failure between display board and Power board): Contact Customer Care.
  • FH (Abnormal Wi-Fi communication): Contact Customer Care.
