If the remote control of your Haier Portable DVD Player isn't working, ensure the battery is correctly inserted with the proper polarity. Replace the battery if it's flat. Also, make sure there are no obstacles blocking the signal between the remote and the DVD player's remote control sensor, and that you are pointing the remote directly at the sensor.
